Dear FilmSpringers,
It was a great plesaure to spend three weeks of fun and hard work in Jurata with all of you. I am very happy that you have made it and your "baby" film is really good one. Knowing a bit what you have in your tapes I am very opimistic for your future cuts and the final film. I am looking forward to hear your comment about our idea and once again invite all of you to participate in our forum. I wish all of you Merry Christmas and very succesful New Year.
Slawomir

Dear all,
You are about to leave your home and go to Hel. I envy you and I wish you good luck. It is time for me to say good-bye as your online coach. It was a very good and fruitful time. When you will be back, this forum and everything that you take with you from Hel is completely up to you. For web issues, please mail Peter Moennikes, for administrative questions, please contact Jochen Bentz, for directions, ask yourselves. It is completely in your hands what you will be doing with your film. By the end of the year, I will be taking down the files on docs.google.com. Anyone with a Google account can open a new share. I am also stepping down as an admin of this forum, so you need to appoint a new one. Of course, my phone line, Skype number and email inbox will always be open for you, and I hope to get some impressions from your adventure too. Here's my album from last year:

Dear all,
Film Spring is coming nearer and nearer and the tension gets bigger and bigger. Remember the rules of the game: you will have to step back behind your own demands sometimes and accept what the group has decided. This is a different kind of working but you will see that this bears a big chance. After all this weeks we had to prepare “Film Spring” I get nervous too, when I see that there is still a lot to organize until our Sprinter can leave Cologne on Tuesday.
You have made a lot of decisions until now and as far as I am concerned I think you did a great job. I think that after all the excitements, modifications in figures, script and cast we have to consider that in some days it will not be theory any more but has to be transported in shooting-reality. As you could recognize, the “producers” and the godfather Slawomir Idziak didn’t get into your discussions because it will be your film and you should decide. We want to build a frame for this adventure which might be totally different from the experiences you have made in commercial context. As you know this is the second edition of Film Spring and we learned a lot from the first one. One of those lessons was that we have to get the technical infrastructure as simple as possible. Equipment–problems are a potential threat for this kind of low/no budget production. After long talks with Panasonic, Avid, Slawomir, Wojtek and some specialists we made the final decision, that it won‘t be possible to shoot in HD. I am sorry for this but it is to risky. We have to consider, that Hel is far away from everything and your main aim in this workshop will be the creative work and not in fixing problems. I hope you will understand my reasons.
Dear camerapeople, please tell us what kind of equipment, gels, filters etc, you can bring to Hel. Adrian sent you the complete lists. We cannot rent everything so contact Adrian.
I wish you a good journey and a wonderful stay in Jurata. I promise you that it will be a great experience. Do not forget enough clothes for cold and rainy times. If there is still something you want to know, please call.
See you all in Hel!!!
Jochen
